With over 20 years experience as a furniture maker Dominic Morris has been working for private clients on the Cote d’Azur since 2007 after re locating here from London.

Aged just 12 Dominics first design project was drawing up blue prints for a neighbours extension. At that time he loved technical drawing and planned to pursue it however a year or so after, whilst helping convert his fathers’ barn into a Gite, he discovered his passion for building things. This passion led him to take a degree in Furniture design and Realisation at the Guildhall University, London where he honed his Design and Furniture making skills.

Since graduating in 1999 Dominic has been working full time as a Cabinet maker and Furniture maker in the UK and France. Prior to leaving the UK Dominic owned a furniture design business in East London specialising in ‘Posh Boxes’, bespoke handcrafted illuminated coffee tables for the home.

After re-locating to the South of France, the first few years were spent working for various Yacht Fit out companies in the area making furniture for Luxury Super Yachts. After a while Dominic decided to concentrate on what he loves most, bespoke carpentry and furniture making for residential properties and soon after Cap d’Antibes Carpentry was born.

Since launching in 2013 Cap d’Antibes Carpentry has been designing and building custom made furniture for clients all over the Cote d’Azur.

Working from a workshop in Antibes all furniture is designed in house, handcrafted and finished to the highest standard.

When not working on private commissions you will find Dominic in his work shop making smaller things like fruit bowls, trinket boxes, meat cleavers, walking sticks and anything else he feels inspired to make with the materials lying around the workshop.
